Chin-Chin Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 gram(4 cups) Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 100 gram Butter or Margarine
  • 60 ml evaporated Milk/60 g powdered milk mix with water/100 ml whole milk
  • 100 gram(1/2 cup) Sugar
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla flavour
  • Water
  • Frying Oil

  • In a mixing bowl, pour flour, add nutmeg and baking powder. Mix together with hand or hand mixer.
  • Add butter or margarine and ´mix together until well combined like a crumbly texture.
  • In another mixing bowl, pour milk and add sugar. Allow the sugar to dissolve in the milk, then add to the above mixture and mix everything together thoroughly.
  • Break one large egg, beat the egg and add the vanilla flavour. Add both mixture to the flour mixture to combine. (If you're using the powdered vanilla flavour, add it to the dry ingredients)
  • Add water bit by bit if the need arises until it forms a smooth dough. Drop the dough on a floured surface, mat or board and knead properly until the dough is smooth.
  • Place a deep pot on a medium heat and start heating up the frying oil. After that, take a small portion of the dough,roll it out and cut into desired shapes. Repeat until all the dough is being rolled out and cut in your desired shape.
  • Start frying bit by bit, fry each part until it's golden brown. Then remove and serve, enjoy with any drink of your choice.
