Ingredients:
Crust
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups butter
- 1 (12.5-ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1.Heat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9X13-inch pan.
2.Place all crust ingredients in a large bowl and use an electric mixer to mix them until crumbly.
3.Press half of crumb mixture into the bottom of prepared pan. Reserve remaining crumb mixture for topping.
4.Place pan in oven and bake for 10 minutes.
5.While crust bakes, whisk together caramel topping and 3 tablespoons of flour in a bowl.
6.Once crust is done being prebaked, remove it from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top of it. Drizzle caramel mixture evenly over chocolate chips.
7.Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture on top of caramel sauce.
8.Place in 350 degree oven for 20 to 22 minutes, until golden brown. Cool completely and refrigerate for a few hours before slicing.
